Gather Brings Coworking Space to Innsbrook With 2025 Opening

Across the West End, Gather — a firm that creates, constructs and manages coworking spaces across Virginia — is expanding: It will open Gather West End in the spring of 2025, next to Broad Street and Cox Road. With this first new location after COVID, Gather will now have eight locations around the Commonwealth — three in the broader Hampton Roads area and five in Richmond. Short Pump’s West Broad Village is the branch of Gather that’s closest to the West End.

Even more, 4101 Cox Road’s second story will house 19,452 square feet of Gather West End. The roomy facility, which can house more than 300 people, has 92 private offices of various sizes for one to 15 individuals, including the option to establish suites for bigger groups. Additionally, a large, 30-person training room; open-area workplaces; eight conference rooms; and a room for podcasting and video recording are among the amenities.

Meanwhile, the community kitchen at Gather West End (like its counterparts around the Gather enterprise) will be stocked with tea, locally roasted coffee, fruit-infused water, and a rotating selection of wines and craft beers. Plus, a full schedule of social and professional events, including a Wednesday Cookie Hour featuring freshly baked goods, is available to members. Members can even enjoy a variety of shopping and dining alternatives along the Broad Street area during lunch or after hours.

“We are excited to bring another Gather to the West End of Richmond,” stated James Crenshaw, one of the Gather’s owners. “Our neighboring Short Pump location has been extremely successful since it opened in 2018.  Special thanks to our team and our wonderful members for making Gather such a special place to get work done.”

Gather members benefit from reciprocity with coworking partners in the mid-Atlantic region, as well as at Gather’s soon-to-be eight sites. Individual freelancers, small businesses and larger multinational corporations that have chosen Gather for their local outposts are among the members.

“We can’t wait to open our new location to the West End community,” noted Ashley Sill, Gather’s regional vice president. “I’m especially excited to add value to our existing members by giving them access to more workspace and conference options, which are all already included in their existing memberships.”

Gather — the largest coworking space operator in Virginia — serves a diverse variety of sectors with more than 3,000 members across Richmond (including the Arts District, Short Pump, Midlothian and Scott’s Addition), Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
