Expansive Launches 7th Flexible Workspace in Chicago’s Pru Building

The renowned Pru building, originally known as Prudential Plaza, is the site of Expansive’s latest expansion in Chicago, which it announced in collaboration with Riverside Investments and Wanxiang Real Estate Group. Expansive’s seventh site in the Windy City is evidence of the increasing need for flexible workspace in the busy commercial sector of Chicago.

Expansive will manage the 35th level of Tower #2, which was formerly held by Regus. The site underwent a thorough refurbishment to become a cutting-edge flexible workspace that’s tailored to the changing demands of modern workers. Designed to promote efficiency, teamwork, and creativity, the area includes a variety of workspace options, such as day offices, coworking spaces, on-demand conference rooms and private offices.

The expansion was implemented as a component of Expansive’s workspace management platform in close collaboration with the building’s owners. This collaboration demonstrates a common goal to improve the building’s amenities and develop a thriving commercial district in the center of Chicago’s Lakeshore East neighborhood.

“Our expansion into the Pru building represents a significant milestone for Expansive as we continue to grow in partnership with institutional office owners,” said Bill Bennett, Expansive’s CEO. “We are thrilled to bring this modern workspace to life, providing businesses with a dynamic environment that supports their growth and success.”

Situated at the border of Grant Park, Pru is a prominent landmark in the Chicago skyline that provides sweeping views of several of the city’s most notable cultural sites and landmarks, such as Cloud Gate, Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago. Due to its prominent location — which provides easy access to food, transit and cultural attractions — it’s a popular option for professionals looking for a classy and convenient business address.

Along with unmatched, Class A building amenities, the building also has a rooftop terrace spanning 7,000 square feet; an on-site health club that’s 12,000 square feet in size; round-the-clock security; electric shuttle service to the Union, Ogilvie and LaSalle street stations; multiple food and beverage options available on-site; a 300-seat conference center; a 23,000-square-foot tenant lounge; and much more.

Early September will see the completion of Expansive’s 35th-floor site while the tenants will occupy the space shortly thereafter. An official grand opening event is scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. on October 1.
