New Coworking Space Opens Doors in Mansfield, Ohio

A new coworking space has opened its doors in Richland County. The site, which is located at 879 Park Avenue West in Mansfield, is meant to support the professional pursuits of different types of workers and businesses, by allowing them to enjoy flexible and fully equipped workspaces.

The Connection Space site is available for local professionals, groups and companies at any time, no matter their necessities. The amenities here include two offices with desks, high-speed Wi-Fi, two conference rooms, a common area and a kitchen for members to enjoy.

Pricing for office use at Connection Space starts at $25 per day, with monthly memberships beginning at $99, offering extended access to the facilities mentioned. For a monthly fee of $25, members can use the venue as their business mailing address. When it comes to conference rooms, they are available for meetings at a rate of $100 for the first two hours, with an additional charge of $40 for every hour after that. Additionally, the common area can be booked for corporate events, graduations and other types of events, and it is priced at $495 for a five-hour period.

The venue’s owner, Jeff Schultheis, turned what seems to be his long-term dream into a reality. Although coworking spaces are more present in large, bustling cities, the smaller ones and suburbs started to hop on the trend. With that in mind, when the vacant office space became available, he saw it as a perfect opportunity to get to work.

“All the bigger cities have a bunch of them and now smaller cities around us are starting to get them,” Schultheis said. “We’ve modeled this one after the COhatch in Columbus; they’re branching out all across the country.”

Jeff also detailed how workers can have access to these facilities, according to the different memberships available.

“They would just come in and pay a daily rate, or they could pay a monthly rate,” Schultheis said. “If they sign a longer-term lease, they can lock the doors, put file cabinets in, secure it and make it their office.
