Flourish Market Expands to Include New Women’s Coworking Space at Raleigh Iron Works

The Flourish Market, a woman-owned boutique known for its stylish clothing, accessories, and more, is gearing up for a significant expansion at Raleigh Iron Works. Scheduled for late 2024, the new location will not only host an updated boutique but also introduce Flourish Coworking, a dedicated space for women, slated to open in October.
The boutique has been operating from a temporary location at 1101 E. Whitaker Mill Road Suite 110 since March. The upcoming move will see the boutique nearly double its current footprint, occupying around 3,850 square feet alongside the new coworking space, near YoBa Studio.
Originally launched in 2019 to support female entrepreneurs, Flourish Coworking has broadened its vision to include women from diverse backgrounds, whether they are corporate professionals, nonprofit workers, entrepreneurs, or those seeking new opportunities. The need for a space that could truly amplify their impact was clear.
Flourish Coworking sets itself apart by catering exclusively to women, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. The space will feature shared community tables with ergonomic chairs, a kitchen with high-top tables, two phone booths, a focal wall with banquette seating, and smaller tables designed for focused work. Notably, there will be no private meeting rooms or offices, emphasizing open, community-driven workspaces.
The design process has been a collaborative effort with input from potential members, ensuring the space reflects a “Caribbean understated glamour” aesthetic. Woman-owned BridgePoint General Contracting is handling the construction, while the lead designer from Gensler is also a woman, reinforcing the commitment to female-led initiatives.
Flourish Coworking aims to be more than just a place to work. Grey and her team are committed to fostering connections, networking, and growth among members. Even before the grand opening, a welcome event is planned, followed by monthly socials designed to facilitate genuine interactions. Additionally, professional development sessions will cover essential topics such as salary negotiations and resume building.
Excitement is already building around on-site summits, which will occur a few weekends each year. These interactive events, led by Grey, will focus on helping members align with their purpose and joy.
As Flourish Market and Flourish Coworking prepare to launch at Raleigh Iron Works, they represent a significant step forward in creating spaces that empower and support women in their professional journeys.
