Luxury Coworking Space ‘FirmSpace’ Opens in Houston Uptown District

FIRMSPACE – a first-to-market coworking suite for established professionals –has launched in the booming Uptown District at BBVA Compass Plaza (2200 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, TX), where the 32,000-square-foot luxury work environment will be ensconced on the 10th and 11th floors of the 22-story building.

FIRMSPACE Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer Matt Ferstler is particularly thrilled to launch the concept in his hometown following the successful launches of locations in Austin and Denver. “This opening is particularly close to my heart given that I’m from here,” said Ferstler, “We launched FIRMSPACE to serve an unmet need in the coworking market, and our Houston site is unlike anything we’ve ever done. I think it will exceed our members’ expectations.”

The Page-designed space at BBVA Compass Plaza – which earned a coveted Houston Business Journal Landmark Award when it was completed in 2014 – sets itself apart from other coworking concepts by celebrating the city where it lives. With more than 26 million square feet of commercial office space, Houston’s Uptown District is one of the nation’s largest business districts, accounting for more than 13% of the city’s total Class A office space with more than 16,000,000 square feet, second only to downtown Houston.

“Since we’re in the Energy Capital of the World, we drew our inspiration from curves and fractal shapes found within a geode stone for texture and natural rock formations for the color palette,” said Page Design Director Jen Bussinger, who is overseeing the company’s third national outpost. “In the age of biophilia – the hypothesis that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connections with nature – we go out of our way to feature different representations of nature.”

In addition to standard offerings like fiber optic internet, standing desks, interactive white boards, spacious common areas, Texas-size conference rooms, and state-of-the-art fitness center, FIRMSPACE also offers members out-of-the box services such as onsite dry cleaning, complimentary snacks and beverages all day, catered lunches, after-hours social events, professional networking opportunities, trade events, and an online communication network. Moreover, the close proximity to the Galleria and its array of international boutiques gives members the flexibility to shop at their leisure.

The innovative workspace will open its one-of-a-kind coworking space in Houston in early 2019 and will appeal to a range of professionals – lawyers, financial services firms, and remote corporate executives – looking for a flexibility, convenience, and comfort without a long-term lease or a second-tiered overcrowded working environment.  Furthermore, members who are registered to any of FIRMSPACE’s locations are automatically eligible to use company offices in other markets and can pre-book conference rooms online.

With next-generation security entry systems and cameras in addition to its proprietary soundproof masking system – complete with its own living-wall made of petrified reindeer moss that will double as a sound sponge – FIRMSPACE not only places a premium on privacy, security, and discretion, it gives its valued members the ultimate modern-day luxury: Peace of Mind.
