Workbox, a national provider of innovative workspace solutions for growing businesses, is set to open a new location on the 31st floor of One PPG Place in downtown Pittsburgh in January 2025. Workbox Pittsburgh – PPG Place will offer local entrepreneurs and businesses the chance to join a dynamic coworking community filled with forward-thinking companies.
Workbox Pittsburgh – PPG Place is more than 23,000 square feet in size and provides breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings. Here, a whole level of workstations, lounges, conference rooms and an open kitchen are available to members. Additionally, offices are available to accommodate groups of one to 16 people with options tailored to meet a variety of needs. A fitness center exclusively for tenants and a free shuttle service across the area are further perks for members.
The new facility will be the company’s 11th location nationally and its first in Pennsylvania. Workbox Pittsburgh – PPG Place is situated at One PPG Place, Suite 3100 in downtown Pittsburgh next to historic Market Square.
“What makes our space unique to other coworking operators is our focus on member connectivity,” said John Wallace, CEO and co-founder of Workbox. “Pittsburgh has built a dynamic professional services industry over the last few decades, and we believe the recipe for this success has been its highly collaborative business community. This is what makes Pittsburgh so special and is the reason we are so excited about adding a downtown Pittsburgh location.”
Workbox’s strategy centers around supporting small and early-stage businesses by providing not only physical workspace, but also access to a robust network of investors, advisors and programming tailored to business growth with branches like Workbox Ventures. Its offerings include an accelerator for future-of-work companies and a venture fund that invests in early-stage businesses disrupting the workplace landscape. This member-focused approach aims to create a collaborative environment in which businesses can thrive through shared resources and connections, positioning Workbox as a partner in its members’ success.
Tripp Merchant, senior vice president at Americas at JLL, emphasized One PPG Place’s status as a premier business address in Pittsburgh’s central business district. He also highlighted the value that Workbox’s dynamic coworking model brings to the building and local business community, calling it “a win for the building, the district and the business community.”
