FUSE Workspace Opens New Coworking Location in Austin, at East MLK Boulevard
FUSE Workspace, a hospitality-driven company based in Texas that offers Class A flexible office space that helps businesses connect and thrive, recently opened a new coworking location. The space represents the operator’s fourth site in the Austin area and is now open for members and tenants at 2105 East MLK Boulevard.
The new FUSE’s East MLK location is a collaboration between the co-owners FUSE Works and the building’s original developer. The Austin-based CB Capital is a seasoned developer of office, retail, industrial, and storage projects throughout Texas, as well as a longtime supporter of the Austin community.
John Herring, FUSE Workspace’s President, said: “We are bullish on the MLK Corridor. With the opening of our new location, we anticipate engaging local businesses and residents, increasing awareness of all this historic area has to offer, and spurring further imaginative, inspired revitalization of this dynamic part of Austin.”
He also added that “We have already had a great response from interested parties, and the local neighborhood has welcomed us warmly. Our members are thrilled to find they can walk, bike, scooter, or take the train or bus to and from this new location.”
The 33,000 square foot, energy-efficient Class A structure that houses the new FUSE Workspace-MLK site includes three private enterprise suites, each with three to seven offices and space for 12 to 30 people, on top of 128 private offices that can accommodate one to six people. There are also five meeting rooms for up to 16 people and a large coworking space with both group and individual seating. Vari sit-stand desks, privacy film on glass fronts, enterprise internet speeds, and premium finishes are all characteristics found in each workplace.
Members and visitors at FUSE-MLK enjoy a polished yet relaxed setting designed to foster innovation and productivity. The interior architecture of the building combines local influences in the form of wood and stone materials, unique lighting features, and East Austin-inspired artwork and furnishings. The structure is filled with framed posters of Austin City Limits concerts.
The common area at FUSE-MLK has a café and kitchen, as well as a grab-and-go market with freshly baked foods from the neighborhood. Views of downtown Austin, the East Austin area, and a number of Austin’s iconic moon towers — some of the last remaining moonlight towers in the world — can be seen from the three spacious outside covered terraces. Additional facilities include safe bike lockers, a members-only gym with showers, Wi-Fi, copy/scan services, and private phone booths, as well as different parking options.
